I am a visual artist drawn to broken worlds, resilience, and the spaces filled with hidden meaning.

Influenced by dark fantasy, philosophy, and lived experience, I work primarily in paint and am interested in atmosphere, emotional weight, and visual storytelling. I don’t create to escape reality, but to understand it.

Each piece is an attempt to translate feeling to form: to hold a moment, a world, or a question, and to make it my own.

Currently, I am still a student who is branching out into pieces I want to create. But soon, I hope that these themes will come across in my work.

Welcome back with more miniatures! This time we have Mizutsune from the Monster Hunter game franchise. This was a gift along side the GIRLYPOP chimera for @_wawieli_
At first I thought this would be so fun and easy because I love this monster in the game. But I had totally forgotten that Mizu is the bubble monster, which meant that her scales glistened… it was really difficult to make it gradient in a way that was convincing 😭

But to keep my sanity, at some point I switched over to the rock that mizu sits on. I got really excited to switch things up and properly attempt dry brushing and to add plant life to it. It came out extremely convincing!!

Through this process though, I came to discover that I’ve been varnishing all wrong. And that varnishing is an art form all of its own! I was given a secondary mizu print and will be attempting it all over again.

But pushing all that aside, I love how it turned out so much. Especially when I put the painted and unpainted minis side by side. Sometimes you gotta remember to give yourself more credit.

These artworks were from a series of work from Painting III, we were supposed to originally look for things that interest us and make pieces and compositions based off those things that interest us, slowly with each slowly passing series my topic became more and more specific. This is the 3rd and last series within the class. I had about a week to finish the series, and so I painted in… quite a panic. But the topic was focused on Veterans, war veterans specifically. The specific topic was persistence and perseverance. Veterans who, despite all they’ve been through, have chosen to continue to wake up the next day. To show the battles we don’t see. To continue choosing humanity and carry the memory of those they cared for with them. Those who deserve to be remembered. Who choose to focus on themselves and accept themselves, what’s happened and how that perseverance is what pushes them forward to see the next day, everyday. To show how, that decision is true strength. Turning memory into strength.

💖 ✨ GIRLYPOP D&D CHIMERA ✨ 💖

My miniature commissions begin! This is one of many miniatures I am currently working on. This is a part of my GIRLYPOP commission from my cousin @_wawieli_ she found several GIRLYPOP Warhammer figures with a bunch of sparkles and she wanted the same thing, so I gave it a go. It isn’t as pastel, but I got carried away and was having fun with it. This is also my first time handling an Airbrush, and it is a really fun tool to use!

I’ll say, by the end of this, my fingers were numb and there was glue everywhere…

This has probably been the most expensive summer, I underestimated How much Miniature paint costed, on top of needing to get things such as a Lightbox, glue, the miniatures themselves. But it has been a very relaxing and fun summer. It’s my last summer as a student, so I intend to spend the time wisely!

It’s been a relaxing few weeks and I’ve barely done a whole lot, but! I’ve been getting used to this miniature painting business… I completed a secondary marine, and I already have quite a few more lined up. Because of the interest that a few people have shown towards my minis, I have decided to open up a miniature painting page on my website, as well as miniature commissions. I will soon be going around town and talking to people too!

Now that we are a week into June, I plan on sharing on other pieces I worked on this semester and sharing my progress on other projects. It’s need a good break, a needed one for sure.

Summer finally begins, I took a week break and will be back to project making starting tomorrow. In this time I decided to try my hand at miniature painting. I did a lot, so much, too much research on miniature painting. I think it came out okay! But I still have a few more to try and paint. I’ve had a couple friends told me that maybe painting minis is something I could consider!

This mini is from Warhammer 40k, he is what you’d call a Space Marine, and he is specifically from the Ultra Marine chapter. As he is my first, it is a rule that he will never be given away. But, I’m just proud of my son and wish to share him with people.

These were from last semester, in Advanced Comics we were told to make small short panel comics about our day everyday for 60 days. My style of the daily comic changed over the course of 3 ish months and I realized that the style I ended with… on accident, without knowing, looked a lot like Panty & Stocking… this is a drawing of me and @_wawieli_

But this is me playing around with styles and sketching! Being a burnt out senior hurts, but you take what joy you can get. Summer is right around the corner, then I’ll have much more time for personal projects! I’ll be taking a proper break as my last summer break as a student.

☕️ Hello

I hope everyone is doing well, I have here a piece from my first assignment this semester. We were tasked to choose a story that inspires us, within public domain to make a book illustration for. I decided to use Oil Paints because I love myself, but I’ve been having a growing desire to paint with oils… I needed to get the energy out somehow! Will I do this again? Great question… I actually might. But the story I chose was The Statement of Randolph Carter from H.P Lovecraft.

I haven’t painted in over 3 years, so I’m a bit rusty. But I was actually happy with its outcome.

☕️ Hello, belated start-of-the-year greetings ✨
I’m Wani, an Illustration major graduating this year. I’ve always loved bringing worlds to life, exploring lore, and creating art that resonates, whether it’s abstract, illustrative, or realistic. If it connects with someone, that’s enough for me.

☕️ My heart belongs to traditional mediums.. especially oil painting. There’s a freedom in paint that I’ve never found elsewhere. Lately, I’ve also been rediscovering digital art in a looser, less “perfect” way. What matters most to me is the act of creating itself, getting lost in the process.

☕️ At the end of 2025, after many trials, I finally found the direction I want to take my art. My goal for 2026 is to lean fully into it: more oil paintings, darker and more philosophical work, and consistent studies. It’s risky, but it’s honest… and that matters to me.

I present my last few prompts of #inktober I was falling behind on my prompts, as I’ve gotten a bit busy, so I instead picked out the ones I feel would be the most fun up to the end! What do you think they are? Can you name them? What would you make for the prompts?

I started off a little more cartoonish this time, because I was making a lot of comic pages for an assignment, I used Inktober as more particle for the look of my main character. I then was slipping into monsters and was trying to come up with creative ideas.

Welcome back, here is my next batch of Inktober prompts coming from Deer to Shredded. I have been approaching these prompts in two different ways “if I were to create this in a fantastical way, with hidden meaning.. what would it look like?” Or even “if I were to create a creature based on this prompt alone, what would it look like?” Even as simple as “how does this word make me feel”

What about you? How do the prompts, and my interpretations feel to you?

Above anything, at the moment I’ve been slightly burnt out from university, so I do believe I could make come up with some better ideas, especially for “Sting” and “Shredded”
But who’s to say. We still have a little ways to go! Deer was my favorite, as well as Reckless.

The days go by, and suddenly- its autumn. The leaves are changing color, and I am here contemplating myself. The colors are changing, the seasons are changing, the weather is changing too. I sit with myself wondering, am I changing too?

Here’s a small sketchbook dump from my semester so far. I’ve been deeply immersed in school so much so that I haven’t had time for much else. I’ve been learning to slow down, post when I truly want to, the little things, and to breathe deeply

I’m learning to release the pressure of constant posting, the need to be seen or to keep up with the world’s pace. My life right now asks for space gentleness, patience, and quiet care. It’s been asking to truly look at, and see things for what they are, to truly listen and understand what demands my energy and what doesn’t. What truly deserves my time and how I want to spend it. TO as myself the questions that needs answers.

Since taking a break from streaming, I’ve been using this time to reflect, to ask myself difficult but necessary questions about who I am, both as a person and as an artist. To remember why I started creating in the first place. To look back on the past seven years of my artistic journey: the work, the lessons, the people, and the countless moments that shaped me.

There’s a deep beauty in remembering, in reconnecting with what once set your heart on its path, and what to take with you going forward.

One day, I want to express all of this through my art; the depth we all long for, the stillness we seek within ourselves and in each other.

As this year slowly winds to a close, I hope we all continue to find courage. To be kind with others, and with ourselves. To give our hearts space to rest, to breathe, and to grow.

Because even in the quietest moments, there is always good to be found. 🍂

Its been some time, the semester has begun & I have been quite busy. I haven't had a lot of time to work on personal projects, but I was able to get a couple of things done before the semester began.

Here is one of my last massive crochet projects as a big gift for @_wawieli_ she was coming to visit for the first time in a while and I wanted to shower her with gifts. My first time making a lot of this stuff, so I hope they hold up well ❤️

I have decided, however, that from now on, if individuals want me to crochet something for them, they will have to commission me. 🤦‍♂️ because they take so much yarn, time, and hand strength! I absolutely loved them, and enjoyed making them though ❤️

Life has been slow, calm and gentle. So I have been taking my time with a lot of things. Ive recently turned 24, enjoying life as much as I can, and getting new clothes. Trying my best to enjoy the time i have. A little of that has involved not being on social media, and a lot of art for school..

As promised, I return with some facts about what it means to be Epileptic and to have Epilepsy. A reel or two ago, I had an incident that occurred that made me take a break for over a month. I finally decided to address my Epilepsy to the public in that reel, because I realized that I had already had a few seizures on live stream at point and felt it necessary to finally shed some light onto it. I said I would make a reel, or even YouTube video, addressing my Epilepsy.

Something I forgot to mention is that since then, my epilepsy has impacted my ability to draw and come up with creative ideas. In an attempt to recover, I have been returning to the fundamentals of drawing and teaching myself how to draw human faces again, doing so has been very helpful.

I hope this next university semester goes just as smoothly ❤️

I also finally got to use my phone holder over my desk for recording 🙌 I want to use this more often for reels and videos!

As ive been drawing faces again, I have found a tutorial that I have specifically taken a liking to, @ham_rib has beautiful art that I didn’t realize I was following for some time, I had re-created a piece of hers step by step, and then I came across some of her tutorials. They helped me deconstruct and understand the Loomis method, along with some other methods I have discovered along the way.

However, in following along with her tutorials, I find that I struggle with making faces too long and too narrow, so I still have a ways to go. I will eventually crack open the Loomis method itself, but for now, I must learn this method and start drawing inspiration from Pinterest.

Moving onto the next step, planes help us understand the shapes & dynamics of a human face, but they also help us understand the playful nature of light.

I am speed! I am just trying to play around with anything I can at the moment, and soon I can show you guys my favorite face tutorial I found! Though I found several, there is one in particular that spoke to me and one I could truly grasp the best. I am hoping that, in playing with planes and angles, that constructing the face slowly becomes easier and more accurate to me.
