✨Semester Madness & Senior Burnout✨

4th Month of the Year

Wow, I missed a whole month! 2025 has been a ✨wild ride✨ so far—busy yet oddly slow at times. I apologize for the missing newsletter last month. It's been a hectic start to the year, with personal stuff, deep talks about the future, therapy sessions, and one of the busiest semesters I've had in University. But enough about that,

How Has Your Year Been?

  • Strangely? Great!

  • Good

  • Okay

  • Indifferent

You can vote for more than one answer.

Let’s break it down...

Goal Progress So Far:

  • Home Life:

    • Eating Less: It's been a rollercoaster. Some days, I overeat; others, I don’t eat enough. But I’ve managed to cut out alcohol and candy as comfort foods, which is a win.

    • Exercise: Starting small has been key. I’m easing back into exercise with simple activities like Just Dance and walks/jogs.

    • Early Mornings: I’ve shifted from waking up around 10-12 PM to a more consistent 9 AM. It’s been tough, but it’s a step in the right direction.

I’ll admit, it’s been a slow start, but March was when things started falling into place. Progress is progress, even if it’s messy.

Mental Health:

The biggest change so far has been in my mental state. January was about recovering from the winter blues, February was rough, and March was all about healing. I’ve been working on better communication, especially with myself, and learning to not take everything so personally. Taoism has been a new perspective for me, teaching me to slow down, enjoy the present, and just breathe. I'm feeling more at peace and comfortable with where I am right now.

School & Career:

This semester has been a beast. Senior-level classes are no joke! I’ve had a major mindset shift about my career, too. I went from stressing about portfolio improvements to accepting that there’s no guarantee I’ll be an artist after graduation. And honestly? That’s okay. I’m learning to enjoy life, not just chase after career goals. It’s been freeing, and I hope I can keep this attitude going.

Still, I’ve been swamped with assignments, and my projects have taken a backseat. School is taking over my life right now, but I’m looking forward to more free time in the summer.

Artistically:

  • YouTube: I haven’t had time to upload, but I’m working on a bigger video and have scrapped a couple in the process.

  • Personal Projects: My Scarlet Witch sketch is still in the works (hopefully done by the month’s end!).

  • Commissions: I’m in the middle of a commission—thanks for your patience!

Marketing and communication have been a struggle, too, but I’m slowly getting better at it. Reaching out to people and stepping out of my comfort zone is something I’m working on, especially at university, where I’ve been making new connections after five years of isolation.

This Month’s Goals:

  • Survive School!! Only two more months of this semester!

  • Finish the Sketchbook Tour video and Scarlet Witch sketch.

  • Work on human anatomy and finish my commission.

  • Post 4-6 times on Instagram.

  • Collaborate twice with people on stream.

  • Take a break at least one day a week—✨Senioritis is real!

Most of my creative energy will probably kick into gear during the summer, when I’ll focus more on personal projects and collaborations. Thanks again for your patience, and I promise I’ll try to stay on top of the schedule moving forward.
