~Welcome back to my blog~ I want to thank everyone who decided to join the studio and have become website members! I am expanding my website so that members have more access to things on the website. Including participating in polls & raffles, being able to comment, and maybe even having their own forum space. I want you all to have your profiles and identities while you're here. Give you all a safe space to talk to one another share your opinions, and talk about things that make us happy. Or even frustrated? I want to give you all more things to do and interact with and not have it just about me. But give all of you guys opportunities too. This is probably the first time I have made another email so quickly back to back, I'm proud, that's progress! No thanks to the hiatus and a lot of self-reflection. I have been having an itch to get back to work, or at least get myself busy.. I don't like seeing what I enjoy as "work" as much as I see it as a passion and career. Involving those who care about my art makes it even sweeter. BUT, let us get to the task at hand!

Halloween is right around the corner~!

That also means that the end of the year is almost already upon us! There is still so much to do and so little time to make it all happen. I want to make another video during this season, and it will be focused on art! With some outdoor surprises. I also have another video I did over the summer that I need to get done, as well as many assignments and commissions to do. But autumn is one of the most relaxing times of the year, it feels so cosy that I dont even feel stressed! I have been harnessing the cosy energy and honestly taking my time. Tackling things little by little. It's one of those seasons that makes me wanna take out a latte, get into some cosy clothes and read a book by the window. What is your favourite season?

Unfortunately, even though it is a great time to be making art on theme with the season. I am not the type of person to do DTIYS challenges or make Halloween art or Christmas art for whatever even or holiday it may be. In the future, I might, but as of right now, I want to focus on what I want to improve on rather than what I want to sell or advertise, though every once and a while I draw a cute little pumpkin from time to time. One day I might make some concept designs for each season 👀 Currently I have too many commissions and assignments I need to get done.. as well as...

Art:

Currently, I have been working on a redraw series, and that is when my artsy video is going to be over!

I have been on a journey for quite some time, looking for techniques, brushes and just the right program to allow me to make digital art pieces that feel and look traditional. Right now, it's not perfect. I followed one "tutorial" and it came out beautiful. But now that I am doing one on my own, I am struggling a little with getting it just right. I know, however, it will never be perfect- nor will I get comfortable in the new style- a 1st or 2nd time. But regardless, in comparison to 4 years ago, they look amazing and it's a huge improvement to the techniques I was using- in my cartoon-obsessive state. Ever since painting class and playing with colours and going to classes, I've turned a new leaf 🍂- I have found a passion for painting and a more "realistic" feeling, look and depiction. I never feel more alive than when I paint on a canvas. I want that same feeling when I draw digitally. Beyond colouring techniques, I need to practice body proportions, angles, designs and environments. So after I am done with all of my current projects, I will be doing some art studies traditionally and digitally. I want to master the human form, and then environments... then feel comfortable enough to play with my designer spirit. I need to IMPROVE so that what I create will be more effective and will jump in quality. I have barely studied properly outside of school. And as my professors have so far proclaimed: "no no no! You need to draw more! You don't draw enough, you should be drawing nearly all the time! Your art is good, but it is no wonder why you struggle... Even during or outside of class, draw, draw, draw!" "as artists, unlike 9 - 5 workers, there is no clocking out"

So I'm arting wrong- well.. not "wrong" There is no such thing as doing this wrong. But there definitely can be more effort provided. I always believe in quality over quantity, but there can not be quality if you aren't consistent and study right, and approach the things you need to study if you want to be what you set out to do. ~~~ So right now I'm working on: Redraw Series (I barely do redraws, but I should to show improvement)

So I haven't touched YouTube since the Hiatus video, but I'm hoping while I stream that I can work on the videos little by little. I have a vlog that I put together during the summer that I need to make! I was able to see friends and family over the summer and I want to put that fun into a quick silly cosy vlog. Then I can continue recording my Redraw Series~ Which I plan to make a whole video of the process and my thoughts on everything.

Shop:

Ever so slowly I've been collecting ideas for my shop, and ever so slowly i'm making things to put in it! I know the best thing I can do is make paintings and sell those paintings to people who would like them in person. But I know that my work and my business will be a largely digital endeavour. But I have made a handful of Stream Overlays that I will be putting on my shop, some of them will be entirely free, other's will be priced. My streaming overlay will be on the store in case anyone wants it! I may even make more for people to use. I know that I can even make badges and emotes and VTuber Assets, which I plan on also putting on my store. Eventually, I may even put art prints in my store! I won't have the money to ship anything for a long time, so I won't have things like bookmarks or journals. But I will have digital products which are more accessible. Products will include (over time): Stream Overlays (made in Illustrator and Canva)

Overall that is what I'm up to and my current plans!

Eventually, as my email list grows. I'm hoping to have more Q&A's, raffles and polls. Especially when I do more art and make more videos. But currently, i'm so happy to have you all here and I'm so grateful again to those who decided to sign up to be site members!

I am still streaming every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 5PM CST & I dont have any ideas to join a group on Youtube or Twitch just yet, I want to grow on my own for a while and find myself and my audience. Eventually, a group may find me instead! But I am a very slow creator, who chooses when I want to post and about what- I overall pace myself slowly. I am not someone who pushes myself to the brink, my health always comes first & my mental health has been the best it's ever been, and I feel like I have a clarity I've never had. With that comes comfort and a love for life I haven't had for a long time. Living life has never felt so good. Thank you for reading! I will see you next week - Wani -
