My Cozy Little Sprouts

~ā˜•~

Hello, it's so good to talk and and reach back out to you! How have you been? how is your summer? going to university for the summer? taking a vacation? I hope you're having fun, or at least getting to relax.

I want to open up by first saying that I did manage to hit some of my goals for the summer, such as doing a little more art. I can however, in honest, say that I definitely still haven't done enough. Especially close to the end of the summer. A lot ended up going on and so I decided that I needed to take a short break. I took a week off to get some fresh air.

In terms of my art, I am still struggling... I have gotten to the point where I have been fearing a blank (digital) canvas. I feel a weight on my back digitally and it's been tough. I think that I need to rediscover my enjoyment of creating art like I once did when it was simply a hobby of mine. So that is my current journey, as I feel more comfortable with myself, its now time I take that energy and focus that on the arts. So, a lot of my content is.. im hoping, going to focus on the arts more, especially with my new semester being digital art focused.

I can say in transparency that I have not been focusing on the arts enough, I have been more so focused on myself and my individual growth because that has been effecting me the most- as well as effecting how I approach my art and my willingness to get onto the grind. As I have been getting better, however, so has my mental state... I truly wish to get to work, which is a new one for me to be perfectly honest. I am an ARTIST, im going to school for art, I want to become one. My content and what I have been doing, beyond my Instagram and my university, has not been reflecting that as much as I would like... as I am unsure what to make in terms of artistic content beyond my own abilities... which is still amateur.

So, in trying to be more art centric I want to do even more than I did this summer and the semester before... ever so slowly im ramping up the projects and what I am doing in the hopes that I will have a busier and healthier life-style and hopefully shake off the shackles I have on me when it comes to how I perceive my own art and efforts in the arts & work-ethic.

With all of that in mind, whats the plan? Well!

  1. I am going to be changing my verbal approach to my socials as a whole.

As a girl who was raised on social media and the internet by the time I was 9 years old, I have seen my life come and go online. I have no issue talking about who I am and being fully honest and transparent with people online. Not leaking important details, but talking too much- I have made friends online, created communities online. Though it's good to be honest, be transparent, down-to-earth and talkative. There is such thing as being too open all the time... So

  1. Im going to make YouTube more Art Vlog centric rather than vlogs on my life to keep the privacy in my own personal life- as well as the personal lives of others. I will still make life based vlogs but they wont be as consistent and will be more vague and cozy.

  2. In my streams im a talker. From now on I will talk about things based on my opinions on things I enjoy rather than my life.. I enjoy being down-to-earth and I still will be. But some things just don't need to be mentioned. I am vague when I mention certain things, but I need to cut the excessive talking I do down to a minimum. I just like talking >.<

  3. I will be attempting to cut back on how wordy my posts, blogs, and descriptions are.

  4. A focus on art reels & shorts with less voice-overs. Time-lapses for my Blog and Members who follow my Blog. 2. Im going to focus on just Graphic Design in University.

Though I love the idea of learning both Graphic Design & Illustration at the same time. I will be in university longer and will accumulate even more student debt. So if I can shave all of that off by a semester or two, I'd be happier. I can also learn Illustration on the side through YouTube and online art schools. I also want to... potentially put even more efforts into painting? I have an artistic hand in the traditional medium.. I want to explore that more.

  1. New life-style routine Im already going through a new life-style routine. I have been waking up earlier and earlier these past few weeks. I have been going on morning walks, reading a book in the morning and generally having a healthier start to my days. This, I am hoping will have an effect on how I approach my art and will have a positive change to my life going forward. This also allows me to honestly take my time in the mornings.. I am always someone that takes my time... but I have been more-so taking my time in the procrastinator unhealthy way in comparison to a more healthy, slow-paced way. With a warm coffee, a cozy book and the rising sun.

  2. YouTube

Now, I already mentioned YouTube. I want to make it more Art Vlog centric. Similar to people like Ashleigh King, Valarie Lin and a handful of others. I am not a professional artist with things such as tips to share or a business to uphold. I don't have a lot of advice to give as I am still a growing artist and student. But I can share my life as an art student, my growth as an artist and peering into my mind as im going. Stepping away from "my life" and more into "my career."

  1. Art Vlogs (a day as an artist, university week as an art student, art events and working on projects)

  2. Co-working art videos, such as footage of me working on something while there is a timer.

  3. I was thinking about an art Podcast.. it's still an idea I have had and would like to pursue in the future.

  4. Sketchbook tours

  5. Favorite artists, passions, inspirations.

  6. Art history videos???

Overall, I am thinking about what kinds of art content I can provide as I am now. I can give my own personal journey. I do think there are plenty of art tutorials, tips & tricks and art advice givers out there who do it better than me. Instead I want to continue to share my journey. Rather than sharing my journey as an individual & artist. I want to share it as an Individual Artist, it will be focused on the arts I make as a person and ill be stepping away from revealing too much about my own personal life. I'll just focus on trying to make it as dreamy, warm, and cozy as possible without so many words.

The Fall Semester begins with the changing of the seasons, I wonder what the rest of this year has to offer, so far its been a wonderful and relaxing year. Though I haven't been making a lot of progress artistically due to how relaxing and how much of a change its been, I feel like I am finally growing into my own and it's been reflecting in what I have been slowly providing online. I think 2025 will be the year that things truly begin to kick off for me now that I have my footing. With a new look, a quieter and more cozy approach. I feel like- once again for the hundredth time I have started over. But this time, it feels right. I feel like that's what I have been waiting for. A good foundation that finally SPEAKS to me. Now its about what content I can SING that I love to share and that others enjoy listening to.

I have truly ONLY JUST BEGUN my life as an artist, so I can truly cut myself some slack. I've only just a little audience. I have no-one to appeal to, which allows me to continue to change things as much as I want right now for the long haul. I have best learned and adjusted myself through experience and exposure, so in a way it's nice to look back and see how much has changed, even if it doesn't feel like much in terms of progress. It shows in shift of mentality. Im proud of that.

Here's to the rest of 2024 šŸ·
